PADI Jr. Open Water Diver Certification Course In Costa Rica

PADI Jr. Open Water Diver Certification program is designed for Children ages 10-14 who are in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water.

After successful completion of the PADI Jr Open Water Diver course you will receive a PADI certification card which allows children between the ages of 10 and 11 years to dive anywhere in the world with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet.  If you are 12-14 you will be able to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 60ft/20 meters.

What does the course consist of?
Throughout the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this certification by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water (ocean or lake) dives.

PADI programs are performance based, you proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Time Needed to Complete FULL Open Water Course: Minimum 4 days
Minimum age requirement: 10 years of age

ALTERNATIVE, TIME-SAVING METHOD:
Time Needed to Complete the PADI e-Learning Open Water Diver Certification Course: 3 days. If you don't have 3-4 days, start your training at the local dive shop in your home town. Complete the theory and confined water portions of the course before your vacation, and do the check-out training dives. Only 2 days required for Referral Course.

Required Medical Release & Liability Release & Assumption of Risk
You will be required to fill out and sign the Medical Liability Release & Assumption of Risk Forms prior to participation. Click Here.  In addition, if there is any medical condition which would preclude you from diving, you would need your doctor’s signature on the Medical Release Form (signature valid for 12 months).

Course Requirements
* Learn Theory and Awareness of Aquatic World. Cover ALL Five Modules of the Open Water Manual, Watch Video Presentations of Material and Cover materially fully with your Instructor. Knowledge reviews, quizzes and a final exam will be taken.
* Confined water sessions are conducted in a swimming pool. Here you learn, practice, and demonstrate comfort in performing the necessary skills to dive safely.
* Open water sessions allow you to put all of your skills and knowledge to use. Four training dives are conducted under the direct supervision of a PADI certified instructor.
